About Testbase

What is in Testbase?

It contains thousands of individual questions and resources taken from past QCA National Test (SATs) papers. This ensures that all the content is high quality and standardised so that teachers can use it with confidence.

Search

Finding what you want as you teach, could not be easier. All the materials are carefully indexed by professionals with experience of teaching and assessment. You can search by topics, themes and target levels to call up all the items that match the needs of your class, small groups and individual pupils.

Print

Once you have found the materials you want to use, they can be placed in a document which will number and format the content for you – ready to print. At the touch of a button you can also produce the matching mark scheme. If you want to edit the questions then simply export to Word.

Who can use Testbase?

Each database can be licensed by a school enabling all the teachers to use the program at home or at work. New materials are added each year and a school can update for as little as £20. If the local authority purchases a licence for its schools then it is minimal cost for maximum access.

Demos

View the Rolling Demo for a tour of the software or see how each database is structured by installing a product demo.

Free resources

With an up to date licence you can use the compilations created by our consultants to support your teaching. This is particularly helpful where policy and teaching frameworks change. For Issue 13, there are unit tests across the whole of key stage 2 mathematics in line with the National Strategy blocks/units. Key stage 3 science items are being remapped to National Curriculum 2008 and can be downloaded at no extra cost to Issue 13 users. Look out for more in 2010.
