Who can use Testbase? Licence and copyright permission

A Testbase licence enables staff and students in schools and colleges to access QCA questions, mark schemes and examiner comments. There is one fee for each licence, irrespective of the number of users within the institution. We ask that you take care that the content which is owned by QCA and the technology is not used by anyone without the appropriate licence.
The policy below applies to materials generated through Testbase in paper or electronic form:
  • All exam materials generated through the purchased Testbase product can only be reproduced for teaching purposes by users who are covered by the institutional licence.
  • The materials produced through using the Testbase product may be shared between licence holding institutions only.
  • Licence keys may only be used by the licensed institution and teachers who belong to that institution (within the institution or at home).
  • Institutions may not reproduce Testbase cocontent for the purpose of selling the materials to students or any 3rd party.
  • Permission to make QCA materials available on an Internet site must be obtained in writing from Doublestruck, creators of Testbase. However, you are free to publish the materials on your institutions intranet site or VLE for use solely by the institution in possession of an Testbase licence. For all queries regarding copyright and permissions, please contact us
Please Note: Permission to reproduce items where third-party owned materials protected by copyright is included has been sought and cleared by Doublestruck, where possible. Every reasonable effort has been made by Doublestruck to trace copyright holders, but if any items requiring clearance have unwittingly been included, Doublestruck will be pleased to make amends at the earliest possible opportunity.
